Description

  • Jade

Provenance

Acquired by the grandfather of the present owner in France in the 1920s.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

Both the teapot and cover are in overall very good condition. There is a faintest hint of yellow to the stone between the handle and the rim and the edge of the cover (suggesting the both pieces were made from the same piece of stone) otherwise the stone is of beautiful even colour, the tone a slightly more celadon tone and less white than the catalogue illustration suggests.
