The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the red is deeper in the original work and the overall tonality is less pink.
The support is composed of two wooden panels held together by four nails. Minor loss located on the bottom left corner is visible under very close inspection. Inherent to the artist's technique, some hairline cracks on the panel support are visible under close inspection in the background on the red forest and along the center of the right edge. Prior to the execution of the work a small defect of the wood located near the legs of the figure is visible in the catalogue illustration.
