Condition

The canvas is unlined. Ultra-violet light reveals no visible signs of retouching (some of the pigments e.g. near the cloud in the upper-left corner appear to fluoresce slightly under U.V. light, however these certainly appear to be the artist's originals and not retouching). There are some scattered tiny spots of paint flaking, notably in part of the fabric draped over the rightmost figure's arm. This painting is otherwise in good original condition. Presented in a decorative gilt frame. The colours in the catalogue are reasonably accurate, however the blues are slightly lighter in reality and there is less of an orange tone overall.
