Condition

Overall in very good condition. The glass shade with some light surface scratches, and with a few scattered minor air bubble inclusions inherent in the making. The glass presents with beautiful gold foil inclusions and a textured acid-etched surface providing a glittering effect when illuminated. The standard with a few light surface scratches to the metal surfaces consistent with age. With some light rubbing to the patina at the high points of the snake's head and body. The lamp with some light surface dirt to the recessed contours of the design. The marble base with some minor edge wear and one very minor area of loss to the marble on the rear proper left corner which is only visible on the underside of the base and not noticeable when the lamp is righted. This lamp is electrically stable and fitted with a standard US plug and bayonet style socket. A wonderful example of the artist's metalwork showing a dynamic composition with elegant proportions.
