Condition

Overall in very good condition. The glass shade with a few scattered minute air bubbles and particulate inclusions inherent in the material and production technique. The surfaces throughout the vase present with minor surface irregularities inherent in pate-de-verre glass and production technique. The shade with a few very minor areas where the coloration extends into the adjacent background, which are inherent in the making. With a minute edge fleck to the small aperture at the top of the shade. The patinated bronze mount with light surface scratches and rubbing to the patina, consistent with gentle handling. The ball feet to the underside of the mount display areas of localized discoloration which are not visible when the lamp is righted. The underside of the ringed mount with one very minor seam separation, which is not visible when the lamp is righted. The pate-de-verre glass displays nicely saturated decoration in hues of deep violet, red and orange. A very nice small scale example of the artist's work. This lamp is electrically stable and is presently fitted with a standard US plug and bayonet style socket.
