Condition
Unexamined out of the frame and under glass. The sheet is slightly undulated. There are some minor small spots of surface abrasion and foxing in the sky in the upper-right quadrant, some very light spots of rubbing in the ground in the lower left, and spots of foxing in the reclining figure's hair (visible in the catalogue illustration). Under close inspection there is a small dent in the central figure's breast and left elbow with possible associated retouching.
The catalogue illustration is reasonably accurate however the colours are somewhat more luminous and less pink in reality.
Presented in an elaborate gilt frame with foliate motifs, under glass.
