Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is a faint horizontal stretcher mark in the centre of the composition. Ultraviolet light reveals some scattered minor strokes of retouching, notably in the figure's left hand, in the dress just to the left of this, and some minor signs in the background. This work is in good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
