Catalogue Note

Although apparently unsigned, many decorative elements are consistent with Gabriel Viardot manufacture. The carved side panels with Iris flowers, the carved ivory inlaid decoration and finally, the exact same design of the gilt-bronze mounts found on signed Viardot cabinets, reinforce our attibution.
