Please note that the movement has not been checked for functionality. However, the movement is complete and may be put into a working state by a professional horologist. There is the usual tarnishing to the gilt bronze consistent with age. Minute chips to marble edges.

Catalogue Note

The globe clock case on the present lot is drawn directly from an 18th century model, attributed to Claude-Michel Clodion. Beurdeuley's father delivered this model to the Duc D'Aumale and it is now in the collection of the Château de Chantilly.
