  • bronze: 44.5cm., 17½in; base: 13.5cm., 5¼in.

Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some greening to the bronze, particularly at the hat, at the back and at the proper left leg and foot. There are some paint and dirt residues around the base. There are slightly visible casting joints at the tops of both arms. There are one or two small lacunae. There is dirt and wear to the base and some chipping to the paint and wood. The fabric lining the underside of the base is in fragmentary condition. There is a blue plastic label to the underside printed: MOD/5459.
