Condition

Superb quality. Only minor old marks and scratches. Sotheby's would recommend that these are re-wired by a qualified electrician.

The finely worked winged griffins relate to mythological beasts which were illustrated in Charles Heathcote Tatham's, Etchings Representing Fragments of Antique Grecian and Roman Architectural Ornament Chiefly Collected in Rome, 1806.
