Condition
The support board bows slightly, and is unevenly cut in the bottom right corner, not wholly visible in the present frame.
There is very minor surface dirt, most apparent to the edge of the top left corner, but this excepting the work appears in very good overall condition.
The nature of the varnish makes for a difficult ultraviolet light reading, however there appears to be some isolated areas of fluorescence and probable retouchings to the lower half of the composition, all of which have been executed in a very sensitive manner.
Housed in an ornate gilt and plaster frame.
