Oblong folio (305 x 375mm.), 95 albumen prints (average 200 x 262mm., or the reverse; 5 smaller: 135 x 98mm., or the reverse), including a 2-part folding panorama of Hong Kong (220 x 565mm.), mounted on card, recto and verso, contemporary black and gold lacquered pictorial wooden boards, light scattered spotting, a little fading (prints overall in good condition), binding worn, covers detached

The album contains 31 views, portraits and groups of native people in Java, 5 of the Celebes (Macassar), including an interior and exterior view of "Mr Scharpff's house", one of Penang, 16 of Singapore (including 5 portraits) each with the blindstamp of G.R. Lambert & Co., 8 of  Bangkok (7 with Lambert's blindstamp), 16 of Vietnam, 5 of Hong Kong (including a 2-part panorama), and 12 views of Canton.
