Condition

Overall in very good condition. The shade with no visible cracks to the glass tiles throughout the shade. With surface soiling to the folded contours of the glass along the upper register of the shade. All of the chain mail components appear original, intact and undisturbed, displaying a highly complementary glass selection to the upper geometric shade. All of the accompanying bronze hardware appears to be from the period but not by Tiffany Studios, and was likely an old replacement many years ago when the chandelier was moved. If desired, this hardware could be replaced with reproduction Tiffany hardware, or could be reduced in length for a shorter ceiling height. With replaced sockets and paddle switches. A highly unusual and striking early chandelier, displaying a superb saturated color palette most notably distinguished by the deep red glass selection which shows an amazing color transition below to oranges, yellows and pale greens. The chandelier presents beautifully with great visual impact and saturated color.
