Condition

Very good condition for an object of this type and age. Horn in the head is loose and removable. Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, and small chips consistent with age and use. Minor surface cavities from insect damage under the foot, not visible when standing. Exceptionally fine glossy black patina; the lower portion with dry aged brown patina where the wood was previously covered, with encrustation. Horn with aged patina and encrustation. Drilled underneath for attachment to modern base.
