with a band of Nile Water Monitor (Varanus niloticus) skin wrapped around the waist.

Condition
Good condition for an object of this type. A hole in the top of the head from a horn or other charge material, now lacking. Age cracks, including to proper right side of face through ear, to belly, and around integrally-carved plinth. Reptile skin is dry and worn, with residue. Minor marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions and small chips. Fine light brown patina.
