Condition

Very good condition for an object of this type and age. Cracking and flaking to reflective metallic mirror backing. Some scratches and residue to front of mirror. Diagonal crack to mirror as visible in catalogue photograph. Chipping around edges of charge materials. Original charge box glued to figure. Chipping to vegetal adhesive around glass inlay in the eyes. Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, and small chips. Age cracks including to integrally-carved plinth between the feet, through center of the back, to proper right side of the head, and to back proper left of the head. Erosion to underside of foot. Head abraded and with remains of another charge bundle, now lacking, patinated underneath. Fine glossy dark brown and blackened patina. Pierced all the way through the head with a channel running horizontally ear-to-ear. Fiber and textile attachments fragile and fraying.
