The central pediment enclosing the tympanum centered by a carved gilded shell and acanthus spray, the breakfronted acanthus carved egg-and-dart molded cornice above a conforming case fitted with a pair of panelled cupboard doors flanked by two similar doors, all opening to shelves; the lower section with foilate-carved molded dado and fitted with a pair of cupboard doors to the center, flanked on either side by a similar door, the right cupboard opening two a bank of three drawers the top two of which are compartmentalized; all raised on a foliate-carved plinth.
Condition
Restorations and refurbishments to the cresting and plinth; Overall in good restored condition. Top left corner of frieze with small losses to Greek key molding; giltwood shell pendant possibly later; central panels to upper section with restorations and are slightly discolored; doors fitted with small magnetic plates to keep closed; the doors to the base with age cracks over lines of construction; bottom right corner of plinth with large chip and loss to veneer. Overall with usual scratches and marks consistent with age.
