Description

  • silver and ivory clock
  • diameter 11.8cm, 4 5/8 in.
circular, the surface of translucent pale ice blue enamel over wavy sunburst engine-turning, acanthus tip border, the white enamel dial within a seed pearl bezel, ivory back, silver-gilt scroll strut, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, 91 standard, scratched inventory number 14995

Condition

The enamel is in excellent condition and is a lovely colour. The front edge of the silver border abraded at five o'clock, which is visible in the catalogue photo. Some wear to gilding. There are repaired splits to the ivory back. The central winding mechanism is lacking at the back, the time cannot be changed at the moment, nor the timepiece wound; two and possibly three pearls chipped or corrupted; one back screw lacking.
