The complete portfolio, comprising 100 wood engravings printed in colors, 1959-63, each signed in colored crayon (Inferno in red, Purgatory in purple, and Paradise in blue) and inscribed 'E.A.', an artist's proof aside from the numbered edition of 150, published in 1970 by Les Heures Claires, Paris, on BFK Rives paper tipped into Arches paper mounts inscribed 'Salvador Dali' in gold (as issued), contained in three original cloth-covered boards and slipcases of corresponding color (3 volumes; 100 prints)

Condition

With full margins, in good condition. Some sheets have very pale time stain at the sheet edges. Several sheets have an infrequent pale fox mark at the deckle of the lower sheet edge (Hell Cantos 6,8,13, 22, 27, 30 and 33, Heaven Cantos 16, 23 and 33). Purgatory Cantos 4 and 32 and Heaven Canto 28 have come unhinged and have two small circles of skinning at the upper corners verso. The slipcases with minor wear.
