Condition

In overall good conserved condition and can be placed immediately. The colour is slightly paler and less greenish than in the catalogue photograph. One of the planks towards the base of the back looks a later replacement as it is of a different colour to the others. There are some vertical hairline construction cracks down the right side when facing which are not too noticeable and can either be left or filled. Old very minor chips and losses to lacquer which are not too noticeable and can be left or touched up. The apron has been reblocked and where this has occurred, two iron nails protrude and are visible in the catalogue photograph but can easily be touched up. Marble top : Colour slightly lighter than in the catalogue photograph and more attractive. Very minor pitting. There is a repair to each rear corner but due to the mottling of the marble they are hardly noticeable.
