Description

  • Milton H. Greene
  • MARILYN AND CADILLAC
  • Gelatin silver print
the photographer's credit/copyright and reproduction rights stamps, numbered 'L-4' and dated '1956' by Joshua Greene, the photographer's son, in pencil, and with credit in ink and signed by Joshua Greene in pencil on the reverse, framed, 1956

Condition

This early print, on cool double-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. Upon very close examination, 2 tack-holes in the upper margin are visible; the margin edges are rubbed; and the upper right margin corner is creased and worn. None of these issues intrudes upon the image or detracts in any way from this print. There are small yellowed adhesive remnants on the reverse of the print. The photographer's 'Photographed by Milton H. Greene (c)' stamp is in duplicate on the reverse. The reproduction rights stamp reads: 'Reproduction Forbidden, All Rights Reserved by the archives of Milton H. Greene, LLC, Authenticated by Joshua Greene.' The numbers '2931-6 / 42' are written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
