Condition
The colours of the original are a touch more yellow in tone than they appear in the catalogue illustration.
The canvas has firm relining which has somewhat flattened the paint surface under a yellowed varnish. Large areas of old repaint are visible to the naked eye in the sky and this is confirmed under UV light which also reveals some old minor retouchings in the foreground.
