The first panel is slightly bowing outwards. There is a small chip in the centre of the upper half. Examination under Ultra violet light reveals two campaigns of restoration to both paintings. The older campaign involved two to three small patches of retouching in the skies. The more recent consisted of spot retouchings throughout the skies and to a lesser extent to the darker colours in the lower halves of both panels. These two paintings are sold in matching simple black frames, in good condition.
