The fringe necklace of Indian inspiration, set with 30 oval, cushion, emerald and step-cut emeralds weighing approximately 105.00 carats, accented by round, old European, old mine-cut and pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 46.50 carats, internal circumference 13 inches, signed Cartier, London; special order, 1947. With signed and fitted box.

Condition

In good condition. The emeralds are very well matched for color, a strongly saturated medium deep very slightly bluish green, lightly included with some moderately included examples with a few stones exhibiting minor surface reaching inclusions and the emerald in the clasp showing a small chip, not apparent when worn. The large old European-cut diamonds are approximately J-K color, VS-SI clarity. The remaining diamonds are approximately G-I color, with some J-K color examples, VS-SI clarity. Well made, lies very nicely when worn. Fitted with a safety closure. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 40640 stating that the emeralds are of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: Insignificant to Faint, type: Canadian Balsam.
