The agate box centering an oval-shaped reverse intaglio crystal depicting a dancing maiden, decorated with calibré-cut sapphires and rose-cut diamonds, measuring approximately 3 3/8 by 2½ by 5/8 inches, signed Cartier, Paris, with French assay and export marks; circa 1915.

Condition

In good condition. The rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat are near colorless and decorative in quality. The sapphires are well matched for color, a medium light slightly violetish blue, lightly included, with some showing some chipping visible under magnification. The reverse intaglio is well carved. Signed under the clasp.
