Comprising a necklace, bracelet and earclips, the necklace set with 30 emerald-cut amethysts, length 16 inches; the wide band bracelet set with 24 emerald-cut amethysts, length 8 inches; the half-hoop earclips set with six emerald-cut amethysts; the necklace and bracelet signed Ruser; circa 1940.
Condition
In very good condition. The necklace set with 30 emerald-cut amethysts weighing approximately 538.30 carats, the wide band bracelet set with 24 emerald-cut amethysts weighing approximately 506.25 carats, and the half-hoop earclips set with six emerald-cut amethysts weighing approximately 84.50 carats. The amethysts are a medium-deep purple color and eye-clean. Of good heft and well made. Please note that this suite was formerly from the collection of Joan Crawford, and was part of the Christie's Los Angeles IMportant Jewelry and Fine Wristwatches Sale, March 6, 2001.
