Description

Designed as a graduated spray of myrtle leaves and berries, millegrain set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, to an earlier chain of similarly cut stones, length approximately 430mm, detachable tiara frame.

Condition

Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 32.00 - 34.00 carats, on average of H-I colour and VS-SI clarity (few I), including the largest diamond estimated at approximately 2.40 carat, all stones as gauged and graded in mounting. Necklace chain (diamonds estimated at approximately 2.50 carat) and tiara frame detachable. Black elastic band included, to affix tiara to head. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, little tarnish, few solder marks to the reverse. In good condition. Total gross weight as tiara approximately 66 grams. Total gross weight approximately 56 grams. Later fitted case stamped 'Armour-Winston Ltd., 43 Burlington Arcade, W. 1.'
