Ruby, cultured pearl, and diamond necklace

Of bib design, composed of floral and foliate motifs embellished with cushion-shaped and circular-cut rubies and set with circular- and single-cut diamonds, suspending a fringe of pear-shaped rubies, framed with circular- and single-cut diamonds, and cultured pearls, length approximately 370mm.

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Rubies well matched in colour, most with typical inclusions, few surface reaching, few nicks, scratches and abrasions. Total diamond weight estimated to be approximately 40.00 - 45.00 carats, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. Pearls of white to cream body colour, some with green and pink overtones, slight banding and few growths marks, good lustre. Signs of normal wear to the metal, few signs of repair, minor discolouration, upper right segment slightly bent. Clasp secure, later safety chain. In good condition.
