Modelled as a peacock, centring on a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 48.57 carats, displaying the plumage set with brilliant-cut, marquise- and pear-shaped rubies and diamonds together weighing approximately 28.00 carats, mounted in platinum, signed and numbered UF7936.

Condition

Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, the cushion-shaped ruby is of medium deep, strong red colour, semi-transparent clarity. Upon 10x loupe, there are feathers and surface-reaching fissures, not noticeable when worn. Other rubies are of saturated, strong red colour, eye clean and lively. Diamonds are about E to F colours, VVS to VS clarity. Signed Cartier and numbered UF7936. Condition: This is a specially-commissioned jewels Cartier made for her prestige client of royal background, a unique piece. Platinum mount, in very good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. Catalogue Note

Accompanied by SSEF report numbered 63150, stating that the 48.57 carat ruby is natural, of Mozambique origin, with indications of heat enhancement; numbered 64862 and 63160, respectively stating that the four oval rubies and thirty-one rubies are natural, of Burmese (Myanmar origin), with no indications of heat enhancement. Also accompanied by six GIA reports stating that the diamonds ranging from 0.60 to 0.51 carat are E to F colour, VVS1 to VS1 clarity.

Accompanied by Cartier original sketch, certificates of authenticity and a signed box.
