Description

  • fully marked on lamp and hook, part-marked on eagle, spacer (twice), drip pan, drop, and three connecting hooks
  • Silver
  • diameter of lamp 8 1/4 in.; height overall 37 in.
  • 21 cm; 94 cm
the seven-lobed lamp suspended from an oviform spacer below a displayed eagle and bowl-shaped crown with waved rim, the drip-basin with pendant drop, complete with original top hook, all decorated with vertical lobes and straight gadroon borders

Condition

recently restored to a high level, some traces of work remain, especially to sides of lamp, otherwise good, rare example from the period
