Condition

This work is executed on a military postcard (cream wove paper). The sheet is taped to the window mat at the upper left and bottom right on verso. The verso is inscribed. There is a small loss to the extreme lower right edge as well as a couple pin head sized loses which are now filled. The sheet has darkened with time and is somewhat undulating. Overall good condition. The present letter translates as follows: Accept my Cubism ! F. Léger Since you so easily discovered my soldiers I can no longer really hide anything from you and today I am sending you a superb canon with some houses that are broken up but… it’s Verdun!
