Condition

Oil on paper, laid down on canvas. UV examination reveals a small spot of retouching to the pale blue element in the upper right quadrant. There is a line of frame rubbing to parts of the extreme left, upper and right edges with some associated tiny paint losses. There are some other scattered tiny paint losses in places. There are two small vertical creases or repaired tears to the right part of the extreme upper edge, probably due to the laying down process. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition. Colours: fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the pinks a bit more subtle in the original.
