  • AN IMPORTANT AND VERY RARE YELLOW GOLD, DIAMOND, RUBY, MOTHER-OF-PEARL AND LAPIS LAZULI MANTEL CLOCKMADE IN 1990 REF 2041/1 MVT 8447 CASE 2896397
  • height 21.5 cm
• Swiss B 21 quartz movement, 13 jewels • mother-of-pearl dial with applied baton and diamond-set numerals, gold and diamond-set hands • bezel set with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds, circular lapis lazuli-set case with fan-shaped gold accents, set with diamonds and pear-shaped cabochon rubies, the case supported by four stylized auspicious carp, eyes set with cabochon rubies, surmounted on a gold, mother-of-pearl and lapis lazuli oval-shaped base similarly decorated with applied gold, diamond and cabochon ruby fan-shaped accents • inner casing, base, dial and movement signed 

Condition

Overall in very good condition, gold is a little tarnished but should easily clean, lapis intact throughout, one triangular mother-of-pearl segment sitting a little proud to the back, but this is not a problem, inner casing signed PPC, gold hallmarks, base also signed PPC with hallmarks. Movement is in working order.

Catalogue Note

With a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1990 and sale on December 13th of the same year. The Extract additionally states that the clock has 730 diamonds weighing 18.93 carats and 19 rubies weighing 17.36 carats. The total weight of the clock is 2.54 kilograms.  With an associated travelling case.
