  • A MAGNIFICENT AND SPECTACULAR YELLOW GOLD, SILVER, DIAMOND, RUBY, ROCK CRYSTAL, CHRYSOPRASE, ROSE QUARTZ, SODALITE AND ENAMEL THREE BIRDS OF PARADISE FOUNTAIN CLOCK, OF EXHIBITION QUALITYMADE IN 1991 REF 2050 MVT 8453 CASE 2900530

• Swiss B21 quartz movement, 13 jewels, pavé-set diamond gold dial, with applied baguette-cut ruby quarter hour numerals, dial and movement in a yellow gold circular case, diamond bezel, gold and diamond-set hands, set within a realistically flowing water rock crystal fountain, interspersed with gold and diamond-set mounts, gold tree bark-finish branches supporting two rose quartz pools, containing white gold beneath rock crystal depicting the water, the branches additionally supporting three realistically sculptured gold birds of paradise, each one either at rest, flying or taking off, two set with multi-colored enamel and diamonds, the third with white enamel to its wings, accented by diamonds and rubies, green chrysoprase and diamond-set leaves and foliage throughout, the whole scene supported by a large oval sodalite and yellow gold and silver water fountain bowl, accented by yellow gold decoration and base • case, base, dial and movement signed  

Condition

A visually stunning clock, the level of detail is astonishing especially to the gold birds and branches. Some areas of tarnishing, but these can be cleaned. Upper rock crystal waterfall with a crack nearer the base, but this in no way affects the splendid presentation of this work of art. Dial is clean. Movement is in working order.

With a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1991 and sale on August 13th of the same year.  The Extract additionally states that the clock is set with diamonds weighing 35.63 carats and rubies weighing 3.28 carats. The total gold weight is 1494 grams. The total silver weight is 930 grams.  The total weight of the clock is 6.78 kilograms.  With a Patek Philippe presentation box.
