Platinum, Sapphire and Diamond Bracelet, J.E. Caldwell

Set with five cabochon sapphires weighing approximately 28.50 carats, framed by numerous baguette, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 8.10 carats, spaced by flexible links set with 57 smaller cabochon sapphires weighing approximately 37.00 carats, length 6½ inches, signed J.E.C & Co., circa 1935.

In good condition overall. The cabochon sapphires range from medium to medium-deep slightly violetish blue, moderately to heavily included with examples of surface reaching inclusions and abrasions at the facet junctions visible under magnification. The five cabochon sapphires measure approximately 10.7 by 8.2 by 6.5 mm to 12.0 by 10.6 by 6.5 mm. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Bracelet is nicely flexible. Signed on the reverse near the male end of the clasp. Maker's mark on male end of the clasp. Fitted with a safety closure.
