Description

  • Mirror glass, giltwood
  • 152cm. high, 151cm. wide; 59¾in., 59½in.
with an eagle cresting and leaf and acanthus carved socle, with a dished and beaded frame, with ebonised slip, with pineapple capped apron and twin branch candlearms to the sides

Ayer, Bruton St, 6th October 1971 (£1100).

Condition

Overall in good condition and very decorative. Gilding refreshed, slip re-ebonised, minor cracks to gilding and construction of frame. Minor chips to gilding on arms. Two, possibly three, losses to beading. Repair to joint of left eagle wing.
