Description

of lobed form, the shallow rounded sides supported on five ruyi-shaped feet rising to an everted galleried rim, finely decorated around the exterior with scrolling lotus reserved on a bright periwinkle-blue ground, each lobe centred with a pink and yellow blossom surmounted by a bat grasping a pale green chime, all wreathed by feathery scrolls with attendant florets and buds, the upper rim similarly decorated with lotus scrolls on a pink ground within a raised gilt border, the interior glazed in pale turquoise, the side of the rim picked out with a pink 'classic' scroll and the feet enamelled yellow

Condition

The tray is in very good condition. There is some wear and light surface scratches to the turquoise glaze on the interior and possibly light retouching to the gilt rim in small areas.
