Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is good. There is some minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age, with dirt to the crevices in particular. There is an area around the chest and neck with some minor spotting. The golden lacquer is streaky on the skin, particularly at the proper right cheek. A corner of the square section is loose. There are a few minor chips to the edges of the socle. The socle is in two parts.
The column has dirt and wear to the surface including some greenish staining. It was carved in sections; joints are visible at the floral garlands. There is some minor stable splitting, around the garlands in particular.
numbered: GK 7 on the underside of the bust and with CK cast into the metal mount on the socle
