Overall the condition of the marble is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is veining consistent with the material, including to across the child's back. There are a number of small naturally occuring inclusions to the marble. There are a few small losses to the edges of the drapery. There are also a few smaller chips, including to the edges of the base. There are a few areas of particular dirt and some crayon marks to the boy's face.
