Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Ultraviolet light reveals no signs of retouching and this painting is in very good original condition. There are some very minor localised lines of craquelure in the dark pigments of the boat visible under close inspection, and some light frame rubbing in the centre of the extreme upper edge. Held in a gilt and white-painted frame, with a nameplate.
