Condition

Overall the condition of the bronze is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is particular wear to the patina at the high points. There are remnants of an original lacquer patina. There are a few small lacunae, including in the helmet. There are a few small original casting plugs. There are three holes for mounting, and a fourth in the drapery below the proper left leg, which has been filled with a plug. There is some wear to the base. The bronze appears to have been glued to the base at some point.
