This painting is generally in very good condition. There are a few minor crease in the paper, which are characteritic of the artist's works as he tends to crinkle some of his paper. The colors are vibrant. Framed.

Catalogue Note

Wang Jiqian (C.C. Wang) is renown as a connoisseur and collector, but his reputation as a masterful painter precedes him. His knowledge of Chinese painting provided him with the great depth of sensitivity and technique to pay homage and to imitate the styles of old masters. The deeply saturated blue hues of his "Landscape" painting is an unusual exploration of his landscapes references Song dynasty masters for color and dramatic individualism in his composition of the mountains.
