Condition

Please note that there is a mistake in the catalogue and that this lot is illustrated under lot 30. The catalogue illustration is accurate. Good condition overall. Restoration to some of the mother of pearl panels, especially beneath the box. Some cracks to the enamel, especially to the top of the central box. A brass ring missing to the lid of the flask.

Les émailleurs anglais du XVIIIe siècle trouvaient leur inspiration dans des recueils de gravures dont le plus célèbre était The Ladies Amusement, publié en 1758-1762. Le décor du couvercle central de notre boîte à thé représente La Musique d'après une gravure de Jacopo Amigoni.
