Description

  • ceramic
of large ovoid form, decorated in black under a turquoise glaze with calligraphic inscriptions, set at the top and bottom with two brass mounts, the top one with a long chain for hanging, the other with a golden tassle, both stamped with [possibly] tughra of Abdülmecid (r.1839-61)

Condition

In general good condition, with few hairline cracks to glaze, some tarnishing on metal mounts, as viewed.
