Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the yellow colour from the left part of the original work tends to green in the illustration. The latter also does not convey the texture and relief of the impasto especially in the black areas. Please refer to the internet site for a better picture. An area of hairline stabilized craquelures (approx. 10 cm x 20 cm) is located at 70 cm from the left edge and 60 cm from the upper edge. Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching. This work is in excellent condition.

Catalogue Note

(Jean Leymarie, Zao Wou-Ki, Paris, 1986)
