  • A Lucanian Red-Figured Bell Krater
  • Glazed terracotta
  • Height 13 9/16 in. 34.4 cm.
painted on one side with a Nike standing between two athletes and awarding a fillet to one holding a strigil, and on the other side with three draped youths, two holding staffs.

Condition

Foot repaired, upper quarter of painted scenes have been repainted, handles repaired with large areas of black paint at their bases, large area of black paint between foot and body, interior entirely painted except for the bottom, losses to glaze along rim.
