Condition

Very good condition for an object of this age and type. Minor chipping, rubbing, wear, nicks, scratches, and abrasions throughout from age and ritual handling. Thin vertical age crack to one side between two janus figures (to proper left of female, proper right of male). Age crack to proper right foot and lower leg of male, extending partly into integrally-carved base. Receptacle for magical charge on top of head is worn down, probably from ritual abrasion. Old loss to edge of integrally-carved base in front of female figure, patinated over. Exceptionally fine black glossy patina with remains of ritually-applied oil and encrustation. Drill hole at bottom center of base from a previous attachment.
