Condition

Very good condition for an object of this type and age. Three complete metal teeth remaining as seen in catalogue illustration. Minor nicks, scratches, and small abrasions consistent with age and use. Dents to metal plates. One metal tack loose. Crusty white pigment to eyes with some areas of flaking. Craquelure to black pigment, some chipping to crusty edges around holes for attachment. Narrow chip to edge behind proper right ear, the detached piece present (held on by textile attachment). Fraying, holes, and tears to textile attachment. Exceptionally fine surface of thick glossy black pigment with white crusty pigment to eyes and remains of red in mouth and on scarification patterns.
