Description

  • gilt bronze cloisonne enamel
  • 12¾in. high
decorated with floral sprays on a white diaper ground, the neck with stylised lotus scrolls between stiff leaves and ruyi bands

Condition

One vase is seperable from its base, and with an area of enamel loss below one of the lotuses on the neck (1.5x1cm). The shoulder has minor dents. The other vase is attached to its base. Both vases areas of enamel loss along the rims and The enamel has minor pinprick holes, as characteristic of the period. There are general surface wear. The gilding is slightly rubbed.
